Project Description

This project explores how infectious disease researchers and their institutional networks best act as responsive partners to communities dealing with the injustices of poverty and climate change. It involves qualitative research with scientific experts working on climate-sensitive infectious diseases, many of whom are aware of the entrenched and overlapping inequities faced by populations with significant burdens of infectious diseases, but may feel ill-equipped to respond.

The project will produce an ethical analysis and a description of researchers’ views and experiences. It aims to identify best practices for engagement between researchers, communities, and other relevant actors in the context of responses to climate-sensitive infectious diseases.
