Project Description

Mai Linh Group is a company with over three decades of experience in the transportation sector in Vietnam. They are currently operating about 5000 E-taxi and are interested in the popularization of EVs and the development of a synchronous, intelligent, and sustainable EV charging network throughout Ho Chi Minh City. This not only serves the public but also forms the backbone of a green transport strategy in the transportation sector, in which the logistics field is given top priority, enabling Vietnam to:
• Shorten the modernization process of the logistics industry.
• Reduce emissions and pressure on urban transport infrastructure.
• Optimize smart and efficient freight flows, consistent with the compact city and sustainable development models.

This project, in partnership with Mai Linh, aims to build a scalable optimization platform to design optimal fast charging stations in several selected hubs in HCMC, considering the mixed traffic environment. The outcome is an open source software which can help Mai Linh operate their EV taxi fleets more efficiently under the constraints of the dynamic electircity price and traffic conditions.
