    Project Description

    This project will develop simulation models of populations of households that incorporate realistic demographic changes, such as births, deaths, ageing, marriage and divorce. we will overlay models of infection transmission on top of this to study phenomena such as the effects of declining fertility and waning immunity on disease spread. Modelling dynamic demographics and dynamic patterns of immunity in combination will produce an innovative and powerful decision-support tool for optimising vaccine scheduling in diverse populations.
