Project Description
A critical component of improving public engagement on bushfire risks and impacts is ensuring there is a shared understanding of risk. This research project aims to support land and fire management agencies in Victoria to engage with community about bushfire risk. The project will apply behavioural science approaches and include deep engagement with land and fire management practitioners and the community to identify important similarities and differences in risk understanding. The findings will inform communications and engagement about risk that develop a shared understanding and increase resilience to bushfire in Victoria.
