Project Details

Project Description

This project addresses the questions: How does innovative productivity change with age? What impact do external factors (e.g. work environment) and individual characteristics (e.g. personality, cognitive style) have on individuals innovative productivity across years? This project examines career trajectories of academic researchers in terms of numbers of research publications and impact (citations). Individual characteristics will be used to predict individual differences in trajectories, and contextual factors (e.g. grant application success, changing jobs, institution's research climate) will be used to predict intraindividual (across career lifespan) variation in research productivity and impact.
