Defining Success Measures for the Upper Merri Creek IWM Working Plan

The aim of this work is to establish an evaluative framework comprising a set of key success measures for the Upper Merri Creek, to guide implementation of the IWM draft working plan. The intention is for the framework to be developed as a pilot initiative that demonstrates how Victorian governments and agencies can lead IWM planning and action at the sub-catchment scale in ways that genuinely reflect the aspirations of community, Traditional Owners and other stakeholders.
The evaluative framework will be used to help monitor progress and assess whether implementation of specific targets and actions identified by the steering committee are bringing about outcomes identified as important by Upper Merri Creek (UMC) Sub-Catchment community, Traditional Owners and stakeholders. The framework will incorporate success measures and indicators for both on-ground outcomes and processes to guide the short, mid and long-term changes necessary for the IWM vision to be realised.
