Project Description

This research project seeks to study the experience of designing and delivering curriculum to cultivate a deeper understanding of diversity and inclusion (DEI) issues in IT Students. It will use the teaching of FIT5205 Data In Society at the Monash Australian and Malaysian campuses as a case study to explore DEI issues from Asia-Pacific perspectives. It will investigate the ways in which teaching and learning practices in the unit can respond to and learn from the differing social, cultural and political contexts in a student cohort drawn from across the Asia-Pacific region to develop richer and cross-cultural understandings diversity and inclusion challenges.
