Project Description

This project aims to address a key policy challenge, how the rapidly expanding data centre industry in New South Wales can be designed to align with and accelerate the energy transition to ultimately establish New South Wales as a sustainable data centre hub in the Asia-Pacific region. The project expects to realise two key outcomes: One, a detailed analysis of how the national data centre industry is unfolding in Sydney, and two, a series of actionable social, economic, technological, and policy innovations that can be harnessed to both address the challenges and unlock the opportunities that the data centre industry presents New South Wales' energy transitions.
