Project Description
This project will examine the proliferation of CCTV surveillance in Australian public spaces. Using interview, observational and documentary data, this study will analyse the relationship between CCTV, emerging security networks and reconfigurations of public space. Using evidence from three case studies this study will develop a theoretical framework for understanding the interaction between security, visual surveillance and urban form.
