Project Description
This project will involve a comprehensive review and critical analysis of literature on climate change engagement and communication that can support bushfire risk reduction and community resilience. The literature review will address four key areas of literature:
- community understandings of, and relationships with, bushfires and bushfire risks;
- community engagement practices that may be relevant to climate change impacts for bushfire and bushfire risk management;
- the various influences on behaviour and the implications for communicating with the community about bushfire preparedness and response; and
- key behavioural techniques that can be employed in communications and will present considerations for their use.
