Project Description
Care Together is an education, advisory and support program that will assist selected projects to develop sustainable social care in areas where current approaches are not working including a focus on regional, rural and remote Australia. Social care for this program is defined as including aged care, disability care/NDIS, Veterans’ care, Indigenous services, allied health and primary health care.
The Program has 2 key outcomes:
a. Supporting the establishment of innovative models of social care delivery in thin markets
b. Increasing opportunity for providers of social care to transition to cooperative and mutual models to address workforce challenges and improve service delivery
BCCM has been funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care (DHAC) with $7 million made available over 2.5 years (January 2023 to June 2025) to deliver this pilot Program. BCCM is developing an ecosystem of delivery partners to support the Program and the Monash Business School has been invited to take on a role as the Research Partner to carry out relevant research and reporting activities for the Program.
