Project Description

We will use stakeholder workshops to understand the perspectives of people with CF, caregivers and health professionals on the best way to conduct a trial addressing James Lind Research Priority #7 – can exercise replace ACT for people with CF? Input will be sought for aspects of trial design including who should be enrolled; what are the important outcomes; how long should the trial be; how should we monitor adherence to exercise and ACT; and how should people with CF and their caregivers be included in the research team. The results of this project will ensure our research delivers results that are relevant to people living with CF, and will support future funding applications for a large trial that can finally answer the question of whether exercise is an effective substitute for ACTs.
