Project Description

Business fleets are an effective pathway for early adoption of BEVs (DISER, 2021) but their site re-charging infrastructure facility numbers are low. Taxation changes can provide an immediate solution by using fleet employee’s home charging, which can include smart metres to gain off-peak rates. Other benefits are grid reliability, cost savings and reducing CO2 emissions.
Business fleets are an effective pathway for early adoption of BEVs (DISER, 2021), but the challenge is for business to install charging infrastructure on their premises, and manage charging at peak times to avoid congestion.
