Project Description

This project which is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) will bring together 15 fellows from India and the Philippines in June/July 2017 under a Fellowship program. This Fellowship program will be delivered jointly by Monash University and the University of Newcastle (UoN). The overall goal of the program is to build the technical skills, knowledge, and collaborative research capacity of the Fellows, enhancing resilience in agri-food systems through sustainable and equitable practices. This Fellowship addresses the DFAT priority area of food security and focuses on South and South-East Asia. One of the key aims of this project is to work collaboratively with the Fellows on joint academic and other research projects to generate rigorous research on building resilience in agriculture through sustainable and equitable agrifood value chains.
