Project Description
While research into decision-making has a long tradition, technology to facilitate our understanding at the micro level is progressing at a rapid rate particularly in the area of eye-tracking and neuroimaging. The proposed eye-tracking and portable neuroimaging machines (EEG scanners) will be used by the collaborating institutions in projects ranging from the design of web pages, medical reports, marketing and public health campaigns to the design of financial reports to obtain a better understanding of how behavioural aspects like awareness and attention, risk taking, emotional states, and time pressure affect perception and individual decision making. The collaboration will include comparison of techniques to benchmark study findings.
