Be You Pre-service Educator Capacity Building and Wellbeing Project

Be You is a national mental health initiative delivered by Beyond Blue in collaboration with Early Childhood Australia and headspace, which aims to promote and protect mental health in children, young people and the educator workforce. Be You builds increased mental health literacy, confidence and readiness in the educator workforce by supporting educators and learning communities who work with young people, including the VET sector, tertiary professionals, university students, and pre-service educators.

The team will engage with university student and tertiary professional audiences to conduct content testing and an evaluation of the wellbeing resources developed by Be You. The resources are intended to be used by pre-service educators and by those who work with, and support pre-service educators, to promote the wellbeing of pre-service educators across the early childhood, primary and secondary sectors. The resources can also be used to raise the capacity of pre-service educators to better support the wellbeing of the children and the young people they work with.
