Project Description

AusStage is an open-access database for investigating live performance as a wealth-creating industry, generator of social capital and indicator of cultural vitality. Phase 6 aims to construct a new 2D and 3D visual interface and digital curatorial space, significantly enhancing the application of existing infrastructural resources. ‘Venue’ as location, context, site and building, is the central parameter of live performance. Phase 6 will create new visualisation infrastructure, develop methods for mapping relationships between Australian artists, audiences and
venues, and collaborate with leading performing arts collections to foster compatible models and projects. It will transform the way live performance research is undertaken.
