Project Details
Project Description
The project consists of a research and policy workshop on affirmative action, discrimination, and economic development. The main objective is to contribute to the research and policy debates on affirmative action policies and their impacts on discrimination, economic development, and public sector efficiency. Racial profiling, affirmative action policies, and their implications have recently attracted significant policy interests worldwide. Caste-based affirmative action policies in India and their implications on public sector efficiency have also drawn extensive policy and public debates. This two-day event to be held in Delhi, India, will bring together prominent Australian and Indian researchers who study affirmative action and discrimination issues in various contexts to share their research findings, foster research collaborations, and to engage with policymakers.
