This is the revised proposal for PETRONAS-Academia Collaboration Dialogue 2023 after the pitching session. The scope, duration and budget is revised as suggested by the feedback from PETRONAS during and after the pitching session. The project will be led by Monash University Malaysia, supported by Monash University Australia and Taylor's University, Malaysia. This two-years project aims to investigate aerial perching for contact-based inspection in oilfield installations. The approach will be based on soft robotics including its active sensing aspects, and will be demonstrated in outdoor environments in stages by the end of the project (TRL 4: Environment Tested).
