Aboriginal Deaths in Corrective Services New South Wales Custody Thematic Review: Rapid Literature Review

The Aboriginal Deaths in CSNSW Custody Thematic Review will carefully consider the deaths of Aboriginal people in the custody of Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) since 2010. The following six work streams to be conducted as part of the project: 1) literature review; 2) statistical analysis; 3) review pre-death factors; 4) review post-death outcomes (eg. coroners’ recommendations); 5) gather information about lived experiences from families and staff; 6) review implementation of Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody recommendations.
