Project Description

The purpose of this project is to test whether “SWiPE”, a world-first personalised CBM app, can help improve treatment outcomes when delivered as an adjunctive intervention to people receiving counselling for alcohol problems. We aim to test this in a RCT by comparing the outcomes of participants using SWiPE to participants provided with a minimal version of the app which only measures their cognitive bias towards alcohol, but without any training to modify it. Our primary aim is to measure efficacy in terms of self-reported alcohol use.
