    Project Description

    This project aims to investigate and document the development of women s political thought in Europe, during the enlightenment period of 1700-1800. Its major outcome will be a sequel to the forthcoming book written with Jacqueline Broad A History of Women s Political Thought in Europe, 1400-1700. By covering the subsequent crucial enlightenment period the research will result in the first narrative overview of the development of women s political ideas from the medieval period up to the French Revolution.
