A descriptive analysis of the professional practice of applied behaviour analysis in Australia: Current challenges and opportuntities

Project: Research

Project Details

Project Description

There is a lack of current data on the provision of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based interventions and supports to individuals with disabilities in Australia. We specifically need to know more about the demand, usage, practice, and up-take of ABA-based interventions. Due to this lack of knowledge, proponents of ABA-based interventions struggle to inform and influence government and policymakers about the presence and effectiveness of such interventions, particularly in the area of early childhood. This research project will directly address this issue, and will enable Monash and the broader Australian ABA community to advocate for improved funding and greater recognition of ABA-based interventions.
