Project Description
NHMRC Awarded APP1159262: As part of the establishment of the grant, the Administering Institution (in this case Cancer Council Victoria) and each Participating Institution are required to enter into a written agreement. This agreement is known as a Multi-Institutional Agreement or ‘MIA’. The MIA includes the role and contribution of the institution(s); conduct of the project and institutional responsibilities; intellectual property arrangements; and an undertaking by the institution(s) to abide by the NHMRC Funding Agreement.
Associate Professor Helen Dixon, the CIA on the grant, has confirmed with all CI colleagues that there are no project-specific NHMRC funding disbursements to be made to the Participating Organisations. This is shown in Table 1 of the attached MIA.
The attached MIA is based on the Go8 template structure, adapted for the Cancer Council Victoria context (and incorporates reference to the NHMRC Funding Agreement effective 31 March 2020, which is the effective funding agreement governing this grant), which has been put in place to standardise and expedite MIA sign-off for NHMRC Grants.
We would appreciate your earliest action as follows:
Please check the MIA content;
Advise of any corrections or updates to the agreement and confirm your institution can sign
Once we have confirmed the agreement we will circulate the final version, at this point we will request that you:
Arrange for your authorised officer to sign in the signature block (noting that the MIA can be signed in counterparts);
Please return a scan of the agreement to this office as soon as possible ([email protected]) ;
The hard copy original(s) are no longer required to be returned, but (if you wish) may be forwarded to Cancer Council Victoria at the following address:
