Description

Andrew Mackintosh was a member of the 'Melting Ice and Rising Seas' team which won the 2019 Prime Minister's Science Prize.

This Prize is for a transformative scientific discovery or achievement, which has had a significant economic, health, social, and/or environmental impact on New Zealand, or internationally in the last five years. It will be awarded to an individual or team instrumental in creating the impact
The total prize is worth $500,000. Of this, $100,000 will go directly to the individual or team with no expectations and $400,000 will be to support their on-going work.
