Description
The British Academy of Management (BAM)’s senior award, the Cooper Medal was awarded in 2021 to Professor Greg Bamber to recognize particularly outstanding contributions and leadership, his standing as a leading scholar in his field, for a sustained and significant contribution to BAM in multiple arenas, for his strong history of mentorship such as supporting chairs of special interest groups and putting on events, for connecting BAM with valuable global partners. In all things, he has been known for stepping forward and showing the way.
This was the first time that BAM’s Medal for Outstanding Leadership and Contribution was awarded to a scholar not based primarily in the UK.
As part of BAM’s Anniversary celebrations BAM’s senior medal was re-named after BAM’s Founding President, Professor Sir Cary Cooper, CBE, 50th Anniversary Professor, Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK.
