Rector's Distinguished Scholar Award (ULIS)

A prestigious award given to National and International scholars by the Rector (Vice-Chancellor) of the University of Languages and International Studies, Hanoi, in recognition of long-term service and dedication to academic programs.

In recognition of Dr Raqib Chowdhury's outstanding and enduring dedication to academic excellence and cross-institutional collaboration since 2017, the Faculty of Graduate Studies, ULIS, Vietnam National University, is proud to honour him with the Distinguished Scholar Award.
Dr. Chowdhury's exceptional contributions, which include his longstanding and continuing commitment to ULIS as annual IGRS Keynote speaker, and his dedication as Faculty Visiting Scholar since 2017, have significantly enriched our academic community, fostering a culture of global learning, international collaboration, and culturally sensitive pedagogies in advancing the fields of Linguistics, TESOL, Education and Teacher Education in Vietnam.
In particular, we acknowledge Dr Chowdhury’s tireless efforts in creating innovative, engaging and inspiring learning environments to motivate and inspire our coursework and graduate research students and to enhance their learning experiences and outcomes. His respectful collegiality with ULIS academic staff and unwavering commitment to knowledge exchange have left an indelible mark on our institution, inspiring students and educators alike to strive for excellence in research and teaching into the future.
