This prestigious international honour recognises individuals who have made exceptional and sustained contributions to research and education in geomechanics. The medal honours work spanning constitutive modelling, testing, computational methods, and their application to geomechanics, with particular recognition given to innovative and non-traditional approaches that integrate fundamental theory with practical relevance, multidisciplinary thinking, and the integration of research and teaching. Presented every three to four years, IACMAG awards recognise global leaders who have shaped the field of geomechanics.
