Jointly established by the Australian High Commission (via the Department of Education) and Malaysia's Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), the Australia–Malaysia Virtual PhD Internship Program is an exclusive 12-week remote research mentorship program designed for non-lab fields like the social sciences, humanities, business and education. Each program cycle competitively handpicks a tight-knit cohort of 10 high-caliber Malaysian PhD scholars from public universities across the country. Jointly chosen by MOHE and Australian authorities, these 10 selected scholars are paired with academic mentors at top Australian universities, provided with orientation and a AUD 500 research stipend.
