ACIS inaugurated this scheme in 2020, to foster publications of the highest quality authored by scholars in Australia and New Zealand who are working in Italian Studies broadly defined (whether in Literature, Language, Translation Studies, Screen Studies, Migration Studies, History, Anthropology, Sociology, Art History, or Political Studies). This year's award goes to Angela Viora (Monash University), for her monograph "The Ecology of the Performance Art Process – Fragmentation, Union, and Reconfiguration" (Routledge, 2024).
