Zoe's teaching and research interests centre on the ethical and professional practice of helping professionals, including teachers, counsellors, and psychologists.
Her PhD study 'Teacher professional boundaries: Online and offline' was the first to measure conceptions of professional teacher-student interactions among secondary preservice and early career teachers in Australia (conferred 2016). Since 2008, Zoe has lectured in a range of units at Monash, highlighting her broader interests in adolescent learning and development, mental health, quantitative statistics, and psychological assessment.Zoe previously worked in public schools as a psychologist providing counselling, assessment, and intervention to students in both mainstream and specialist settings. As a practitioner, she is interested in supporting learning and wellbeing in schools, particularly through evidence-based programs and teacher professional development.
