Personal profile
Biography
I am an experienced paramedic and a Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow with expertise in prehospital emergency care and resuscitation research. I have published over 200 publications in leading international journals and have attracted more than $20 million in competitive research funding, including three NHMRC/Heart Foundation Fellowships. I am an emerging international leader in resuscitation research and have been awarded ‘Young Investigator’ awards from the European Resuscitation Council and American Heart Association. I hold appointments as the Director of the Centre for Research and Evaluation, Ambulance Victoria, as a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, and as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Department of Paramedicine, Monash University. I also hold appointments on the Scientific Advisory Task Force of the International Liaison Committee On Resuscitation (ILCOR), the executive committee of the Australasian Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (Aus-ROC), and editorial positions in leading international journals (Prehospital Emergency Care and Resuscitation Plus). In addition, I have over 17 years’ experience as an Advanced Life Support paramedic with Ambulance Victoria.
