Biography

Yuji obtained his BSc (Hons) in 2012 and PhD in 2017 at Monash University under the supervision of Prof. David W. Lupton studying NHC-catalysed enantioselective C–C bond formation reactions. Following these studies, Yuji moved to Princeton University as a Endeavour Postdoctoral Research Fellow investigating biocatalytic oxidoreductase transformations under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Todd K. Hyster from 2017 – 2019. Yuji then returned to Melbourne, Australia as a Postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Jonathan Baell at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Science.
