Dr. Xiaoyu Zhao is an adjunct lecturer at the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, Monash Universityis and a research fellow at Monash Suzhou Research Institute. She holds a PhD in Interpreting Studies and a Master of Interpreting and Translation (Research Stream) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Xiaoyu is also a NAATI-certified interpreter (Certified Interpreter level, English <> Mandarin) with extensive interpreting experience in both Australia and China.
Xiaoyu specialises in interdisciplinary mixed-method interpreting research, with a focus on quantitative experimental methodologies. Her research interests encompass various areas including translation and interpreting studies, psycholinguistics, and corpus linguistics. More information can be found in her full CV.
