Biography

Dr. Xiaoyu Chen commenced his Research Career at Dept. Med. Chem., Sch. of Pharmacy, Fudan University, China on 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Ying Chen on the design and synthesis of NO-Donor based Anticancer Agents. After obtainied his M.Sc. degree, from 2014 he started to pursue his Ph.D. at CBC, SPMS, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in the group of Prof. Philip Wai Hong Chan. After about one year’s study, he followed Prof. Chan and moved to Sch. of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Monash University to continued his research on Gold Catalysis. After thesis submission on Jun-2018, he started to work as a Research Fellow in Dept. Materials Science & Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at the same university in the group of Dr. Hsin-Hui Shen focusing on the development of Polymeric Nanoparticles as Antimicrobial Agents.

 

Research interests

His current research interest focuses on the development of Antimicrobial Polymeric Nanoparticles as well as Gold and Rhodium Catalysis.
