Biography

Associate Professor Warwick Butt is a Group Leader at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, Director of The Royal Children's Intensive Care Unit as well as a Senior Intensivist at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. He is on the editorial board of both US and Australian Critical Care journals and a regular reviewer for European Intensive Care. He has had over 300 scientific communications and been an invited lecturer at adult and paediatric world congresses in general and cardiac critical care. His major research interests include the short and long term outcome of paediatric intensive care units and the use of extracorporeal technology in critical illness.
