Biography

Professor Warren Clements is a Medical Specialist at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Warren's work is entirely in the public system as a full-time staff specialist Interventional Radiologist. Warren also holds the position of Adjunct Professor with Monash University through the Department of Surgery, and is heavily involved in research as well as teaching of medical students and junior doctors. Warren has published over 115 scientific manuscripts in internationally recognised medical journals.

Warren is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, and is an editorial board member of both Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR) as well as CVIR Endovascular. He also reviews for multiple local and international journals including circulation, JAMA, MJA, BJR, JVIR, DIR, injury, and many others.

Warren has a keen interest in education and training, supervising research students in the Monash University MD program and The University of Melbourne Master of Medicine (Radiology) program.

Warren is accredited with the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR-ES). He holds positions within the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists including within the Interventional Radiology Committee. He is also an executive committee member of the Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia, as well as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe, the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the Canadian Association for Interventional Radiology.

Warren's areas of clinical and research interest include uterine artery embolisation, tumour ablation, trauma intervention, and management of inferior vena cava filters.
