Biography

Waqar Hussain is a Post-Doctoral research fellow in the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. Waqar obtained his PhD degree in Software Engineering from Auckland University of Technology in 2016 and joined Monash in Dec 2017. Waqar is currently working on Values Based Software Engineering (VBSE) project to embed human values into software. This project aims to develop processees, techniques, tools and guidelines that aid software engineers fold in human values such as fairness, privacy, equality and social justice into software. Waqar’s research background includes Requirements Engineering, Collaborative Software Development, and contemporary software engineering methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery and (Global) DevOps. Waqar is a practically oriented researcher but actively teaches students of Software Engineering and carries out research in the field of computing education.
