Biography

Dr Anggraini has a B.Eng (Hons) of Civil Engineering, M.Eng of Geotechnical Engineering and P.hD in Geotechnical and Geological Engineering

Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in Geomechanics at the Civil Engineering Discipline, Monash University Malaysia. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience. She has been conducting research in the area of geomaterials, geosynthetics, sustainable soil liners and ground improvement. She is the recipient of Monash University grants, industry grants and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia grant scheme. She has published over 36 original research papers, 1 guideline construction on peat and organic soils, 3 book chapters and 1 book on ground improvement.

She is president of the International Geosynthetics Society Malaysian Chapter (MyIGS). She is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng) of the institution of Engineers Indonesia, a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia and a member of the institution of Engineers Australia (MIEAust). Her experience includes projects in Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia for both private sector and government clients.

Research interests

Her research interests are in the areas of ground improvement, environmental geotechnics,  geomaterials, gas CO2 sequestration in liners, geosynthetics, compacted clay liner, geotechnical properties of soft soils, nanoparticles in fibres reinforced soil and earth reinforced structures (foundation engineering).
