Vanessa joined Monash University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery in January 2017.  Vanessa has 22 years nursing experience in a variety of clinical settings including remote area nursing and critical care transport.  Vanessa has worked in Emergency Departments since 1996 and continues to be passionate about emergency nursing.  She became a Nurse Practitioner candidate in the first round of seed funding by the Victorian Government in 2004 and was one of the first 10 endorsed Nurse Practitioners in Victoria.   Vanessa maintains weekly clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner: Emergency at Monash Health and is extremely enthusiastic about the role for Nurse Practitioners within the health sector.  She has been a sessional lecturer for the past 10 years and is now looking forward to the challenge of Unit Coordinator and Chief Examiner of M6006.
