Biography

Tze Che obtained her Master’s and Doctorate Degree PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2014 and 2020 specialising in Earthquake Engineering. During her MSc and PhD studies, she worked as a Research Assistant and Research Officer on several research and consultancy projects.

She has also accumulated several years of experience in structural engineering practice with a leading multinational engineering consultancy firm, where she contributed to the development of several prominent and prestigious projects in Malaysia. With her expertise, she has also been working on projects that require earthquake design and analysis. She then transitioned to academia in early 2024, when she joined Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) as a Senior Lecturer specializing in Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics.


Tze Che’s research interests are in seismology, earthquake engineering, structural dynamic analysis, seismic assessment and structural design, structural protection, repair and rehabilitation.
