Biography

A devotee to liverwort science, Tom has been a member of John Bowman’s group at Monash University for over 8 years. Tom’s thesis was on the role of the PIN gene in liverwort development and has since been exploring a number of research topics as part of their role in the Centre for Plant Success. Tom’s experience includes a lot of transgenics and confocal microscopy-based work, including a healthy amount of creative dabbling with various plant growth assays.
