Biography

Dr Sujie Chandran MBBS(hons) FRACP is a general gastroenterologist with a sub-specialty in interventional endoscopy – encompassing the upper and lower gastro-intestinal tract, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and gastro-intestinal cancers.

He has a strong focus on colon cancer prevention strategies through quality colonoscopy techniques, which allow for a high polyp detection rate – a proven key in the prevention of colorectal cancer. In addition to basic endoscopy, Dr Sujie performs endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).

He operates as a Gastroenterologist/Interventional Endoscopist at Austin Health in Melbourne, which is also the State Endoscopy Training Centre. Here, Dr Sujie not only performs cutting-edge endoscopic procedures but also educates the next generation of medical professionals in endoscopy.

Dr Sujie has published extensively on the field of endoscopy and is currently undertaking PhD studies through the University of Melbourne. His private practice is based in consulting rooms in Mount Waverley, Melbourne Australia.
