Biography
Dr. Song Cheen is a data scientist specializing in health informatics and bioinformatics, with a strong focus on the application of machine learning. Dr. Song is proficient in Python and R, excelling in developing data analysis pipelines and machine learning models, particularly in healthcare.
Dr. Song earned a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics with First Class Honors from the University of Malaya and completed a fast-track PhD program in Bioinformatics by January 2024. Currently, Dr. Song is a Research Fellow at the Microbiome Research Centre, School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia, where the primary research focus is on understanding the human microbiome's role in health and disease.
Dr. Song is dedicated to furthering the impact in the fields of data science and health informatics. Driven by a passion for data science and the application of machine learning, Dr. Song continually acquires new skills and knowledge in the latest technologies, ensuring that research methodologies remain innovative and relevant.
