Simon works in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Monash University as an ARC-funded Future Fellow.
Simon's research areas of interest are:
- Stellar evolution
- Stellar nucleosynthesis
- 3D fluid-dynamical simulations of stellar interiors
- Chemical abundance problems of Galactic globular clusters
- Dynamics of binary star systems
