Biography

Shixue earned his PhD from Hokkaido University in March 2024, where he focused on understanding the predictability of Asian monsoon precipitation. Following his PhD, he served as a research fellow until September 2024. In October 2024, he joined Monash University's School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment, where his current research in climate modeling emphasizes decadal variability and its implications for climate extremes.
