Biography

Dr Wang is a research fellow in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences at Monash University. She received her PhD in September 2018 from the School of Pharmacy, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her PhD thesis looked into the statin and antiplatelet use in the management of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients using electronic health records (EHRs) and claim data.

She currently worked on the health economic analysis of the ongoing government-funded personal alarm system MePACS in Victoria and another evaluation project of the regularity and continuity of general practitioner practice, and outcome research of medication management plan through the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) data linkage.

Prior to her attachment at Monash University, she had an equivalent combination of relevant research experience and working experience in public health, social science, clinical research, and health service research. She holds an MPhil degree in epidemiology/public health and a bachelor degree in pharmacy. She was awarded Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP) Scholar by Bai Xian Asian Institute and Bright Future Leading Scientist by Bright Future Group for her leadership, social involvement, and research focus for the disadvantaged communities.
