Biography

Dr Sharon Yahalom is a lecturer in the Student Academic Support Unit (SASU) in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University.  She works with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) nursing students, providing assistance and development of language and clinical communication skills.  Sharon has a PhD in Applied Linguistics from The University of Melbourne. 

Research interests

Sharon Yahalom's current research interests include CALD nursing students' experiences at clinical placement, language and communication in nursing, English for Specific Purposes and language testing.
