Biography

Sharon Clifford is a Public Health Research Fellow and Project Manager with the Monash University Health Economics Group, currently managing a 5-year NHMRC project aiming to develop the knowledge and tools to successfully implement strategies for tackling loneliness and social isolation to improve chronic disease management in Australia. Since 2015 Sharon has  managed a number of research projects and trials with the Department of General Practice and Department of Psychiatry at Monash University.  With training in public health, psychology and community development, she is passionate about alleviating loneliness and social isolation and improving health in the community. Most of her past project work has a qualitative or mixed method design and has centred around improving health services and service access for consumers.
