Biography

Dr. Shalini Nagaratnam holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Malaya and a Ph.D. from the University of Putra Malaysia. With over 17 years of experience teaching Mathematics and Statistics across various universities, she has actively explored diverse teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement and foster interest in learning. Dr. Nagaratnam has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented papers at both national and international conferences. Her research interests encompass Teaching & Learning, Applied Statistics, and Econometrics. Additionally, she is affiliated with the Malaysian Statistical Society (ISMy) & IEEE Education Society, and she provides SPSS software training for students while offering guidance to early-stage researchers within the institution. She engages in external commitments, serving as an external examiner, a technical committee member of reputable conferences and serves as a reviewer for Scopus indexed journals, along with her role as a scale reviewer.
